Heartland Soccer to Host Over 340 Teams this Weekend at Premier Memorial Day Weekend Tournament

Kansas City Invitational anticipated to generate $5 Million Economic Impact over weekend

Overland Park, Kan., May 22, 2023 – Heartland Soccer Association, the largest youth soccer league and tournament host nationwide, is set to host the highly anticipated Kansas City Invitational from May 26-28th. Boasting an impressive turnout of more than 340 teams, this annual tournament has firmly established itself as one of the largest in the region. The prestigious event will take place at the acclaimed SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex and the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex, showcasing world-class facilities.

Bringing together teams from the Kansas City metropolitan area and various states, the Kansas City Invitational is expected to generate a substantial economic impact, estimated at $5 million throughout the tournament weekend.

In addition to the tournament, Heartland Soccer is bringing it’s esteemed Skills Challenge event to Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex during tournament weekend on Saturday, May 27. This competition is perfect for players of all ages and skill levels, and it promises to test players dribbling, shooting, and passing abilities. The tournament will kick off on Friday at 5:30 PM with the first set of games. On Saturday and Sunday, games will commence at approximately 8:00 AM, followed by the highly anticipated award ceremonies, scheduled to take place after noon on Sunday.
