For the past 16+ years, Shane Hackett has served as the Executive Director and board member of Heartland Soccer Association.  Heartland is recognized as the largest soccer league in the United States and operates over a dozen tournaments at the world class facilities of SCHEELS Overland Park Soccer Complex, GARMIN Olathe Soccer Complex, Wyandotte Sporting Fields & Swope Soccer Village.  

Shane is a partner and CMO at Legion Capital Corp.  Legion Capital is a private equity firm and specialized lender.   Legion Capital funds acquisition, early stage development and growth capital needs for small and medium sized business owners and developers, addressing a market segment that has gone largely unserved by banks and conventional lenders.

Mr. Hackett is a media veteran, active entrepreneur and investor. He has founded, sold and invested in multiple broadcast, technology and training companies. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board at MarketLeverage, an Inc 100 Advertising Firm and Fortune 5000.  

He served as President and General Manager of the radio stations KGU-AM in Honolulu, Hawaii, KTSS-FM in Honolulu, Hawaii and WTIX-AM in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He served as Director of Continuity and Executive Producer for Gannett with KCMO AM/FM. Mr. Hackett began his career in radio, having been responsible for the creation and production of several nationally syndicated radio shows, including “Baseball Sunday with Joe Garagiola,” “Football Sunday” and “NBA Basketball Sunday.”

He served as the President and Principal of PRM Media Direct.  PRM specializes in high end, luxury real estate with holdings in Hawaii, New York, St. Thomas, Monaco & the UK.

He is active building orphanages, designing clean water projects in third world countries with The Global Orphan Project and Life Giving Force.

Mr. Hackett graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri with BA degrees in communication and public relations. Additionally, he studied international business and literature at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England and graduate studies at University of Missouri – Kansas City. He sits on the President’s Advisory Council at William Jewell College.
